the Founder
As Chairman and President
of RDH Worldwide LLC, Roger Hart is author
of the ASQ book, Quality Handbook for the Architectural/ Engineering
& Construction Community. He has been director at Fluor Daniel,
one of the largest diversified design and construction services
firms in the world, with Masters Degree in Mathematics and
Physics with engineering-related emphasis, his expertise lies in
project construction operations of several types and expertise
in building and general contracting. His interest includes
residential construction, construction management, general
contracting, managing subcontractors, a practical knowledge
of most disciplines/trades, and a strong engineering background.
His general construction work includes an array of projects
from large to small, from home building and mid rise building
to large industrial projects, from design to full-scale site
construction. As President of RDH Worldwide LLC, Mr. Hart has worked with general construction, and private
clients in California building and real estate development
including low, mid and high rise construction. He has also
provided engineering services in construction involving home
building and low, mid rise and high-rise construction. His
construction and general contracting experience includes home
building, apartments, condominiums, schools, hotels, medical
buildings, mid and high rise buildings, transportation, and
urban re-development including public works projects. Mr.
Hart was the 1996 Vice President of ASQ and founded one of
its fastest growing divisions (design and construction). In
2000, Mr Hart has been nominated by the U.S. Department of
Commerce to actively serve on the Board of Examiners for the
United States Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. A well-known
construction management and general contracting expert, he
has also served on the Boards of American Society for Quality
(ASQ) (1992-96) and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality
Award, a Senior Judge for the Secretary of the Air Force Unit
Award (1993-97), and a Judge for the USA Today/RIT Cup. Mr.
Hart has held numerous other posts and received many honors
in the field of construction. He has recently authored a second
construction-related book on urban city redevelopment by ASQ
entitled, A Nation Reconstructed: Quest For The Cities That
Can Be. released in October 1997. An important segment
of his most recent book is devoted to the contracting and
rebuilding of schools around the country. Mr. Hart was featured
(authored) in the April 1998 issue of DESIGN-BUILD MAGAZINE
on "Reconstructing the nation's distressed urban areas will
require fresher ideas and more flexible contracting" with
a focus on public works projects at the local level. In addition,
his first book pertaining to architectural/engineering and
construction is a text being used by several construction companies.
